This is one of many incidences where our government does not work. We vote people into our governemnt on what they say on where they stand during there campaign. Then they get into congress or senate or presidency and they vote there mind or where the money is. They don’t vote on what we tell them to. We can petition or call them or e-mail, but for the most part they ignore it. WE DO NOT LIVE IN A DEMOCRACY…it is a republic. People has to illusion out of there mind.
We need to protest and demonstrate, but we have been brought up in a generation of apathy. People need to stand up. The government is afraid of there people in France, because they stand up when they don’t like things. Why can’t we do this? We need direct democracy where we vote on important bills…like what Bill Richardson has posed. We need a change.
