I think someone shot my dog

I woke up this morning and found a bloody hole in my dog’s leg. The skin around the wound was burned. I have reason to believe it is a bb gun or pellet gun shot wound. The vet was perplexed because he couldn’t find anything lodged inside of her. She received 4 staples.

If anyone has any useful information, please let me know. To a possible trigger-happy-douch-bag neighbor: you’ll be very sorry when I find you.

Ugh… Thinking that someone could do that makes me nauseous.

Poor Huxley! give her a hug and a doggie treat for me. I’m so sorry this happened. People who hurt defenseless animals are a special kind of sick.

Thank you everybody. Huxley is doing much better today.

I have to squeeze this antibiotic stuff under her skin; it’s really gross, but she’s very good about letting me do it.

I’m toying with the idea of camping on my roof with a rifle. Just kidding mom (!)

Ugh! People who harm animals have something very wrong with their souls. They need to be taken out of circulation.

Serioiusly??? Who are these people? I’m grabbing my sleeping bag and rifle and coming back to Flagstaff to camp with you…

Perhaps he got caught in a fence or it was an accident. Do you let him rome free?

  10. Kyle Says:

Huxley is a she, and I have a fenced in back yard with a doggie door, so her and the other dogs go in and out as they please. I thought about the fence thing too, but couldn’t find anything poking out that might do that. Assuming it was an accident is, I think, the best option.

I’m glad to read that Huxley is doing better. She’s lucky to have someone who cares about her so much.
I remember reading a quotation that wnt something like “You can measure a person’s humanity by how they treat animals.”
