The United Arab Emirates has cancelled the entire debt owed to it by Iraq - a sum of almost $7bn (£3.5bn) including interest and arrears.

Thanks for posting this. In a way, it does give me hope that the foreign relations may be improving over there, which MAY incite the United States government to end their OCCUPATION of Iraq. You should definitely read Ghost Wars to get a better sense of the politics of the Middle East.

Big surprise. Especially considering we invented the UAE so Tiger Woods could play that golf course in Dubai. Looks like the UAE canceled debt they weren’t getting back anytime soon…..
UAE = 51st state, with private islands and burkahs
